The fully story or the Südtirol Gardenissima can once again be told. It is a story that is rewritten every year and which already consists of 25 chapters. It all started as very small event in 1997 which grew into a highly popular festival and became more than just a battle over fractions of seconds.
The ski race started punctually at 7.30 am against the backdrop of a wonderful winter landscape. Plenty of sunshine and ideal slope conditions provided the perfect conditions for the race.
There are always multiple champions - the organising committee, the crowds of spectators, the 700 participants and of course the winners on the day: Daniel Hemetsberger (AUT) in the men's and Christina Ager (AUT) in the women's race.
