Since 1997, the Südtirol Gardenissima has claimed the title of the longest giant slalom race in the world. Its exhilarating 6 km course features a vertical drop of 1,033 meters and a thrilling 115 gates.
The adventure begins at the summit of Seceda (2,518 m), where two athletes launch simultaneously on parallel tracks, which merge into a single, electrifying path after 1,500 meters. The finish line awaits at the valley station of the Col Raiser cable car in Selva di Val Gardena (1,485 m). The fastest racers blaze through the course in just around 3 minutes.
With only 700 participants allowed, the competition is fierce. Open to everyone, the Südtirol Gardenissima offers the extraordinary chance to race against World Cup stars and ski enthusiasts of all ages. The exclusive Ski Legends category draws former World Cup athletes and skiing icons, making this one-of-a-kind event a must for anyone passionate about the sport.
