Race Info

On 23 March 2024, the Südtirol Gardenissima, the longest and most famous giant slalom in the world with six kilometres, will once again attract ski fans from all over the world to Val Gardena.

Every year the Südtirol Gardenissima is held in spring at the end of the winter season. The start of the South Tyrol Gardenissima is on the mountain Seceda in 2518 m. and runs over 6 km down to the finish at the valley station of the cable car Col Raiser in Selva Val Gardena at 1485 m. The athletes overcome a difference in altitude of 1033 m. There are 115 gates marked out along the route. The start takes place in pairs, divided into categories. The route runs parallel for the first few kilometres and then joins to form a single route.

The number of participants is limited to 700. Since the participation is open to all and both well-known professionals from the FIS Ski World Cup and amateurs of all ages participate, the race offers a unique opportunity to compete with the best. Prizes will be awarded in all categories. For all participants a starting package is waiting.

There is also a special category for ski legends, in which every year former World Cup athletes and ski icons take part.

The O.C. reserves the right to join categories with less than 10 participants.

Group ranking

If several participants want to start in the group ranking (Team, Ski & Fan Club), they must indicate the same team in the registration form.
The group ranking is a single ranking between teams, Ski and Fan Clubs. The 5 fastest times will be counted together.

Family ranking

2 people from the same family; in the classification, one will be timed in Südtirol Gardenissima (adult race), and the other in Gardenissima KIDS.
Adult athletes and Ski Legends are not classified. In the Super-Baby and Baby categories, an additional 34 seconds will be included in the ranking calculation due to the shortened course duration.

Sponsors

Many thanks to the Sponsors of Südtirol Gardenissima for their support.
