Participation
In the race there may participate children born between 01.01.2010 and 31.12.2019. The competitors start in pairs on parallel giant slalom runs which after the first part become a single run.
Start and Race Course
The start, located next to the top station of the Fermeda chairlift on the Seceda alpine meadow, takes place at 8:30 a.m., with both racers starting simultaneously, as is customary in parallel slalom races.Where the two courses merge (just below the Daniel hut), participants must pass between the double red and blue gates. The start for the superbaby and baby categories will take place 200 metres further down, and these will be the last categories to start. The finish area is located near the Cuca hut.
Overtaking other participants during the race is permitted, provided it is done under safe conditions and without endangering or obstructing other competitors.
Categories
Participants are classified as: superbaby, baby (start is approximately 200 m below and it will be the last category starting), cuccioli, ragazzi and allievi, respectively female & male. The starting order of the categories may change at any time prior to the start of the very first participant. Other categories may be added by the Organisation Committee at its own discretion.
For the family ranking there will be added 34 seconds if the child participated in the superbaby category (shorter racetrack). If in any category there are not at least six participants the O.C. may decide to admit the participants to another more numerous category.
Cancellations
Registrations must reach the O.C. accompanied by the registration fee and medical certificate of sound health within 01.03.2026.
Once the maximum number of 400 participants has been reached, registration will be closed.
Cancellations, with entitlement to the repayment of the registration charge, must be communicated by (gardenissima@valgardena.it) by 01.03.2026, together with a medical certificate, which confirms the medical grounds for non-participation. The fee paid for the Aiut Alpin insurance cannot be repaid in any circumstances.
Event cancellation
The event’s execution depends on the prevailing weather and snow conditions. The course conditions may vary and differ between participants. In case of insufficient snow or adverse weather conditions, the organizer reserves the right to postpone, shorten, or cancel the race. If the event cannot take place due to force majeure, the entry fee will not be refunded.
Skipass
Participants will receive a 50% discount on the Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi skipass for one, two or three days (Friday 27th of March, Saturday 28th of March, Sunday 29th of March 2026). The skipass can be bought at the valley stations of the Col Raiser and Seceda lifts as well as at the skipass offices in Selva (Ciampinoi), or Ortisei (Alpe di Siusi). It is not possible to buy the reduced skipass online.
Race inspection
Registration gives the right to an inspection of the run (once only), setting off from the departure gates on the day of the race itself from 7.45 a.m. to 8.15 a.m. The Seceda cablecar is open from 7.00 a.m. and the Col Raiser cablecar from 7.15 a.m.
Race number distribution
Race bib numbers will be distributed on Friday 27th of March 2026 between 3.00 p.m and 7.30 p.m. at the Cultural Center in Selva di Val Gardena.
Security
Wearing a helmet is mandatory. Helmets can be rented at various ski rental shops in Val Gardena. It is also strongly recommended to wear a back protector. Each participant must carry a valid ID and skipass during the race.
Mountain rescue and medical staff will be present along the course to ensure the safety of all participants.
Results and prizegiving
Results will be published on Sunday 29th of March 2026 in the arrival zone. The prize-giving ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m at the mountain station Seceda.
To accept prizes the participant must be present at the prize-giving ceremony. The starting list and the results list may also be found and referred to on www.gardenissima.eu
Variations
The O.C. reserves the right to change the rules if necessary in the interests of the effective running of the race.
Claims
Protests can be submitted no earlier than 45 minutes before and no later than 15 minutes before the award ceremony, with a deposit of €50.
In the case of an unjustified protest, the deposit will not be refunded.

Photography Policy
During the event, photos or videos may be taken for documentary and promotional purposes. By submitting the registration form through a parent or legal guardian, you implicitly agree to allow your children to be photographed and recorded unless you expressly opt out. Responsibility
The O.C. accepts no liability in the event of loss or theft of one's personal belongings.
